XIII. five-pointed small star

Five-pointed stars, in vertical columns containing upright or head-up stars.

The watermark depends on the shape of the stamp, upright or horizontal, but on some stamps both watermark positions occur. The watermark position cannot be determined

Occurring watermark positions:

A: upright and head-up five-pointed stars
B: five-pointed stars lying to the left and to the right

Tips for distinguishing the five-pointed large star and the five-pointed small star watermark:
- The distance between the five-pointed stars is not uniform everywhere, especially not for the large stars.
- The rule that applies to the arrangement of the two kinds of five-pointed stars is that the large stars are closer to each other in the horizontal direction and somewhat farther apart vertically than the small stars.
- The tips of the large stars are sharper, the tips of the small stars are blunter.
- The presence of the numeral watermark obviously determines the large star.
