XII. Five-spiked large star watermark
Standing and inverted five-pointed stars, alternating per vertical column.
Placed into star-shaped shapes at predetermined distances, the Roman numeral indicating the paper quality grade appears. Depending on the stamp shape, it may be in a standing or horizontal orientation, but on some stamps both orientations occur. The watermark pattern can only be determined through the perforation watermark, which can have eight different positions.
